J.A. Farrer: Adam Smith - Ismeron

This book was originally published in1881 as the first in a series on 'English Philosophers'. Though at least eleven volumes were projected, only five ever appeared, and of the seven writers therein treated, four were Scottish!   It contains a lucid exposition of Smith's ethical theory as set out in The Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759) and - surprisingly -  was the first full length English book to be published on his philosophy.  Now attractively reprinted in enlarged format on cream wove paper.
